PPI were engaged by Wilmar to provide the design, supply and installation of Lightning Protection on the Mackay Bulk Sugar Terminal.
Our scope included:
- Design of the Lightning Protection system using the Collection Volume Method (CVM).
- Removal and disposal of each existing systems, including downconductor cables, fixings.
- Fitting of new Stainless Steel mast assembly.
- Installation of new downconductor cable and Stainless Steel fastenings.
- Installation of new air terminal.
- Termination to recently renovated earthing point.
- Test and re-certification of the Lightning Protection system.
